    Trouble installing windows nt

Iam trying to install windows nt and nothing happens when I start the cd rom. Iam running windows 98 is it possible to install nt over 98? I also tried to partition part of my 600mb of my 10 gig. hardrive to ntfs to install nt into with partition magic but it won't let me. This was to enable the ntfs for nt. What could the problem be? Any suggestions?

in win 98, put in the NT CD and open a dos window change to the cd drive letter, then change directories to the the i386 directory, then type: winnt /b (enter) and that should start the install. If you are using Fat32... it will not work, NT cannot read FAT32 change it to FAT16 with partition magic before you try to install and leave it fat16 so you can boot to either NT or 98.

    good luck

    THE MICK

    My system specs...
THE ES - 5,120 (640 8-way nodes) 500 MHz NEC CPUs. 8 GFLOPS per CPU (41 TFLOPS total). 2 GB (4 512 MB FPLRAM modules) per CPU (10 TB total) shared memory inside the node. 640 × 640 crossbar switch between the nodes with 16 GB/s inter-node bandwidth, using 20 kVA power consumption per node

The machine runs a version of the Super-UX UNIX-based OS. You mean it's not running Windows???
