Prevention of concurrent remote logons
How can I prevent my Remote Access users to logon simultaneously on different modems? (I do not want any user to give out his/her Id and password to others so that they can logon at the same time). I didn't find a feature in the policy to set that. I wonder if it ca be done, or if there is a utility for it.
Thx
Aria

You want to allow only ONE concurrent RAS connection? Configure only one modem to use with RAS and give your users that phone number.

Thx for the reply HWMC, but let me explain the situation a little more. I run a small ISP, my users buy one account and share it between a few others. I don't want them to be able to do that. I'd like to setup my system (if possible) to prevent the second user to logon with the same user id and password. So each user has to buy an account.

As far as I am aware, there is no way to prevent an NT user from logging on more than once.
It may be possible to run a login script that checks to see if the user is already logged in and, if so, logs him out again. Maybe someone else has experienced this?
