    NT ethernet problem

    1. connection:
nt4-client with 3com fast ehterlink xl pci
    via cross-cable to on-board ibm ethernet-adapter in nt4-server.
    no problems so far.

    2. connection:
from the same nt4-server via realtek-8019 pnp
ethernet adapter (media: 10base-2) to the same adapter in win95-client.

the realtek-8019 adapter is installed as dhcp- and dns-server. supplied test-sw for adapters shows green on both ends. no erros-msgs on nt4-server, but logon on win95-client results in error msg:
    no domain server available ...

    any suggestions/solutions?

Did you set up your 95 client in server manager as a workstation. The Server must be Pre-introduced to a 95 client before signing on for the first time. _ add your 95 client to the domain using server manager. Hope this helps

    Try disabling the onboard Ethernet-Adapter!
I had the same problem and when I disabled the onboard adapter in BIOS the other Ethernet adapter worked fine !
It's worth a try - hope it helps!
