office 2000 updates
Here's one I haven't seen before. I am trying to install the latest office 2000 security updates. When the update engine is running, determining what updates are needed it keeps trying to access the floppy drive, which it has never done before. Then, when I try to install the updates I get a message saying the updates cannot be installed, with no details or explanation. Suggestions? running win98 SE and Office sp-1 is installed.

OK, update: I have Office 2000 standard, small business disk 1, and small disk 2 installed with sp-1 for all 3. Tried to run the repair tool. Worked fine for small business disk 1 and 2, but I got an error message saying installer could not open the patch on the office 2000 standard. There is the problem. Now, any ideas as to how to fix this? tried to re-install the sp1 for windows standard and no go. Can't uninstall office 2000 standard using add/remove. Suggestions?
