    0D Error

Had one pop up I hadn't seen before: Fatal Exception 0D in 1E57. Tried Google and came up empty. Any ideas? Only occurs when I an shutting down. Running win98 SE on a HP system.

Usually Fatal Exception OD errors have something to do with a corrupted Video Driver. You might want to either reinstall the video driver you have, or go to the web and download a newer version.

    Hi rebbasser:
Do you remember what you were doing at the time?
Can you recreate it and post the exact error message for us?

    Hi rebbasser:
Just a shot in the dark. Have you been through Msconfig and unchecked the Disable Fast Shutdown option?

    Daizy-
Where do I find it? I looked in the msconfig box and didn't see it under any of the tabs, including advanced on the general tab.

    Hi rebbasser:
Bumping this one back up. Did you find the fix for this one yet? Vernon Frazee had an excellent link for all OD errors?

    Hey Daizy!
It hasn't happened lately-just one of those MS things I guess. I'd just like to know what the 1E57 means-never seen it before on my machine or anywhere else. Meantime thanks for all the suggestions!

    Hi again rebbasser:
Glad to hear it's not happened for a bit. It could be just about anything? This one talks about a conflict between the USR USB Modem and ATI Rage 128 Video Adapter?

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

    REBBASSER:
    Under System Configuration Utility.
    Under the General Tab.
Put check in "Disable fast shutdown."
That should end the error message. Catman
