General protection fault from standby

Howdy y'all!
Need some help. Every time I bring my system off standby I get an error message stating msgsrv32 has performed an illegal operation and will shut down followed by the system freezing up. I was able to find out the details:
IEXPLORE caused a general protection fault
in module USER.EXE at 000f:0000180d.

Don't use System Standby! Right-click an open space on your desktop; Point to Properties; Click the Screen saver tab; Click the lower Settings button; Use the drop-down arrow ans scroll to choose Never by System Standby; Click Apply; Click Ok.

Don't use System Standby!

Thanks--I figured that one out on my own. I do a regular virus scan both internal and on line and have zonealarm pro. Problem is I WANT to use standby on occasion.
