Discrepancy in the numbers for “Used Space”
When I highlight the icon for my hard drive in the “My Computer” window , the pie-chart shows that I have used 1.95 GB of space. However, if I open up the hard drive folder, select all items in the hard drive, and then choose to view the properties, it shows that I have actually used 2.60 GB of space, which I’m pretty sure is accurate. Anyone have an idea why the 650 MB is not accounted for in the pie-chart? I’m running Windows 98se.

Hi
far as i know, win95 and win98 pie chart never showed true size of the disk.
same with recyclebin properties.
has been too long ago i looked at ME, it may still show 2GB there too

FWIW- Saw a win95 computer the other day- the colors and space reported free are exactly opposite- the larger pie slice, which we know is used, shows as free space, and vice versa, and the colors are reversed.
