I'm pretty sure I have the correct drivers. in the readme.txt file, it indicated my card! now the problem is when I run the .com file in DOS...it dosen't like it. the card is inside a Dell Latitude C810!
I might visit the Dell support site for some answers!

any other help would be greatly appreciated!

That will depend on what system the 630 is in. If a real motherboard (not a HP, Compaq, or similar) is used, you should be able to use ones from the company that makes the mobo or SIS's site.

If a HP, Compaq, or similar, the mobo may (usually) has been modified and may not work with drivers from SIS directly.

Here is a google search for SIS 630. One of those may help, or you need to be more specific.

wellllll I d/l the drivers from the site suggested by ghouldini. it was a zip file. the directions said to dbl clk the zip file after d/l and it would create a folder called C:\PNP\video also said to direct windows to that location to find the new drivers when I get to that part. here's the rub windows will say it didnt find any drivers in C:\PNP\Video so the install hangs there. I can go to C:\PNP\Video and see the .inf file they are talking about but I cant make the dang driver update find it
    screwed up, aint it?

.inf file is different from a regular driver.
That will be stored elsewhere like in Windows or windows/system, etc.

Were you at zipulrich's link or one of the ones in the search engine results?

I used Zip's link and tracked down the page there for the number you gave....... HERE

Click the drivers button. I don't see 630 listed, but it may be a combo SIS (2 chips), not just the one. Can't tell from photo as it's too small to see the chip(s).

BTW - If you installed the bundled "Media Talk Ring" software which is included with the CD, it's spyware.

I must have d/l them from a different site than in your last post because I dont even see the exact number M756LMRT listed
I still dont know why when I browse to the folder it says they arent in there? I know I'm not the first one to argue with their computer hopefully a pic of the folder with contents will show up
thanks I will have to digest all this again and try on a fresher mind (can I borrow one)

The Sis630m.drv and Sis630m.vxd are what you want. But I don't see any .exe in that pile. That's usually what is there. For updated drivers, there (in my modems case) are an uninstall (of old driver) .exe and the install .exe

I am not familiar with .bin files. Maybe something there.

That's my guess, that there is no execute file in there. Maybe some info in the Sis630m 24k setup information. Open with notepad.

why not take a look at that "install instructions..." document?

it'll probably tell you to do something with sis630m.inf (that 24k 'setup information' file).

yes, i still use the i386dx-33.
no, i wouldn't trade it for a pentium iv.

when I d/l originally I got the application file called SIS6307309x version 413012015 then when I dbl clk that it created the PNP video folder with those contents pictured. The Instructions tell me what I already saw on the original d/l page they say:
SiS 630/730 Display Driver 9x ME installation instructions

Download the self-extracting file, double-click on it to let it unpack, a folder C:\PNP\VIDEO will be created.
    When finished, proceed as follows:

("SiS 630/730 Display Driver" driver version 4.13.01.2015)

1.Click My Computer with the secondary mouse button and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
2.Click the Hardware tab, click the Device Manager tab.
3.Click Display Adapters, then double-click the driver already listed 9x).
4.In the Display Adapters Properties window, select the Driver tab.
5.Click the Update Driver button, the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard will appear, click the Next button.
6.Select Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended) and click Next.
7.Select Specify a location and click Browse...
8.Browse to the folder where the drivers are located (click here) select: SIS630M.INF
9.Click OK, click Next, and follow the on screen instructions
10.Close the Display Adapters properties window by clicking Close
    11.Restart your computer
But as I stated earlier the dang pc let's me choose video but says no drivers are in that folder. Obviously I'm doing something wrong and that's what I'm trying to figure out
    thanks
