add/remove programs & elusive IE
when i look in my add/remove programs program via the control panel i have no IE...yet i use IE,.. i need to run the repair module...any one have any ideas?

What version of IE
If IE 5 try pasteing this command in the run box
C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL32.EXE setupwbv.dll,IE5Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt"
IE6 try this one
C:\WINDOWS\RUNDLL32.EXE setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt"

Or go to start, programs, accessories, system tools, system information, click on tools tab in system info. BJ

buck52 : IE5, no joy when copy/paste in run box. (hello nieghbor- scituate, ma)
bigjohn : went to tool tab, nothing about IE.
welshjim : all there is Microsoft 4.5.
thanks for the quick response..this is driving me nuts..feel like i should buy a new a machine and start from scratch!!

IE 5 is built into win98 therefore its not an option to uninstall
upgrade to ver 6 and this will fix everything

Using an earlier version than Internet Explorer 6? Here is a list of resources available to you.
I use IE5.01SP2 and you can do more with it than with 5.0. Faster for me than the newer versions.
