Fdisk
I have been reading some on creating another partition to my hard drive. I have a 10 GB drive and have only used about 1 Gig.I have windows 98 se loaded along with some security type programs, one game of chess. I do not need a larger drive as I just like to use my computer for basic entertainment.
What I am a bit uncertain about is can I leave everything on C drive as is presently, create a new partion using fdisk and reloading windows 98 there also? I mean to just have a place to back up things frome c drive?
Hope this is not to silly a question, lol.

If you do not presently have any space that is not already in a partition, using FDISK will erase everything on your drive. A better solution would be to use a partitioning program. Two possible alternatives are listed below:
Partition Magic from www.powerquest.com
Ranish Partition Manager (free) from www.ranish.com
