    Trashed OS

How do I restore a previous registry (ala scanreg \restore) in safe mode?

Hi Zip, If you mean from the dos menu? Just choose (5)and press enter. At the C:\> prompt type scanreg /restore(forward slash with the space).Press enter.Pick a previous registry from the menu using the arrow keys that says "started" and press enter. Cross your fingers and get a' cup of joe(or brew )..

Oh yeah,if it doesn't do an auto restart, but says your reg has been restored to a previous good one and drops you back at a C:\> prompt, just type "win"(no quotes)at the prompt and press enter...

Hope this was what you are asking for?
    Good luck...

    Thanks. It's late.
    I'm exhausted.
Tried to help my Mom on the phone (her system got trashed by an 'expert' friend a few days ago - too embarrased to call and tell me). We walked through it together. I restored my registry to a prehistoric date, apparently.

It's either this or I'm gonna reload OS2/Warp
