can't install program
I am trying to install Office 2k on about 20 machines in a lab. all except three had no problem but the ones having trouble begin the install, ask what and where you want it to install and when you go to install it it just throws me back to the desktop. any ideas why this is happening or possible solutions? thanks

I also had a very similar problem. I could instal Office on all but one machine. My solution was to copy the disk to a temp folder on the HD and instal from the folder. All other computers would still instal from the CD, so I have no idea why it worked, but it did. Worth a try at least.

I have tried from both the CD and from a file on the server. Still the same results.
Thanks for the idea though

You may have to install either from the local hard drive, or map a drive letter (if you haven't already tried this) to a folder on the server. Installing from a unc path does not always work.
