About the btopenworld scam ?
they have been making downloads slower for heavy users i.e people who download alot of mp3's movie clips etc....

i must admit i am a heavy user and i have not experienced any slow down but i am with worldonline (still going though bt's network)

but i do use it at work and i have noticed it is slower than mine at home sometimes but it has definatly slowed down since we got it installed at work but i put that down to us having it first in the area and since other people have had it installed in the area it will get a bit congested.but now i think different.

Btopenworld is the main ADSL supplier in the uk and you may have guessed it is a part of bt who own most of the adsl network here in the uk and other suppliers feed off of it so i dunno if i am going to suffer from it hope not .

Mike, you are correct, this is OT for our forum, everyone knows the more traffic there is the slower it gets, not a whole lot you can do about it. If you are lucky you will be able to get cable sometime in the future. BJ
