Can't use shortcut keys
For some reason the shortcut keys I assign by Rt-Clicking on an Icon/Shortcut, selecting Properties, then the Shortcut Tab and entering a letter in the Shortcut key box, applying it & hitting Ok will not work. I haven't tried this in ages and may be overlooking something.
Any suggestions folks??

I had that happen once with Win95, and since I don't keep any icons on the desktop, it was a pain. I searched for several hours to find why it wouldn't work, and finally just ran the Windows install "over the top" and all was well again. I think that perhaps it was a .dll that corrupted.

Thanks Jim - Think I'll shelve that idea for now!!!
ADD ON - Just found this MS Article that explains the problem in case anyone else ran into the same wall;

ive been dealing with a similar problem for a few months (win98fe). all my shortcut keys were working, and one day they just stopped functioning. the only way to get them working is to re-apply them. but upon reboot, they have stopped functioning again (even though the shortcut keys are still defined in the properties).

That's precisely the problem I had in Win95, and the reload was the only thing that fixed it.
