re. pcmcia problem

i am sure iam not doing something correctly..so here goes. after formatting the hard drive inserted win98 boot disk, without cd rom support,( as with did not find any cd rom drives).
im now stuck at A rompt, can anyone guide me from here,as to what drivers i need to enable my pcmcia cd rom..and how too.
i have tried cd rom drivers, pcmcia drivers, but still end up at A prompt, so i am not doing something correctly...toshiba portege 3110ct..so frustrating..many thanks

Which boot disk did you use, the one created when you loaded "98": Try this one:

now getting message at c rompt \bin\mscdex.exe.
and usage:mscdex[/e/k/s/v/] [d:driver...]..[L:<letter> [M:buffers>]..thanks
