Is there any way of taking a snapshot of working settings?

I've recently had a lot of trouble getting online and I had to chase some obscure errors that were listed in Event Viewer. I don't want to go through all that again so I'm wondering if a snapshot can be taken of all the settings so that I can quickly reinstate everything should it happen again?

    Thanks - rev

Settings for what? Some routers have an option to backup the settings. However, if there are settings (Router, Windows, printer, etc.) that I need to save in case they get corrupted, I usually create a Word (or other) document with some screen captures of the settings and some text to explain which ones are critical and what they should be. There may be some software available to do this for you, but I have not tested it. Of course, the ideal time to do this is when you have just finished getting everything set back to the proper values, while you remember what needed to be changed.

I lost all the success I had on bootup and failed hour after hour to get the netwirk connection back. As a last resort, I tried a TP-Link USB Nano Adapter, it worked instantly, it didn't ask me to connect from a list, no ipconfigging, no security key, no questions! So - I'm getting another one of those and I won't be needing to save settings. I don't know enough to explain why it worked. Thanks for the reply!

BTW when posting, I get a message that says, 'Really? Leave? Your work might not be saved' or something like that. I'm on win 11.

This is a Cloudflare issue. I usually highlight and copy the text of a post first before clicking on the message, just in case. If I am typing in a Russian novel, I may enter that data into Word or Notepad and then copy and paste it into the browser from there.
