Thanks for the confirmation Midknyte that I can use this SSD in the system.
Ok, I see that the SATA III are backwards compatible.
Much appreciated. Like I said I am trying to learn and not just ask questions.
I called up the owners manual on Dells site according to the service tag # I have on the system.
I have the Ultra SFF. I will take another look at the ports when I open it up again after I get the SSD that I will have my boss order.
Looking at the owners manual it is showing just one optical and one drive bay available (which would be physical placement for the two). But there could be other SATA ports on the board? Looking at the motherboard in the manual it just shows SATA 0 and I
I don't think this link goes to a 9010 Ultra SFF

These are refurbished systems that we buy. I don't think the motherboard would be changed out though on it.
I am going to have him order it because I know it will at least fit since there was one in there already. I just needed to confirmation that the SATA III will work in the system which I see now it will. Yes, I realize it will be slower than the actual drive can produce in speed but since the SSD that was in there was far too small capacity wise and the only other 2.5 drive I had laying about was a HDD which ended up having faults and was slow as heck this one will be better even not running at full speed.
Thanks again
