I would like to have dual monitors for a DAW program I have called Cakewalk. The instructions I have for setting up dual monitors from Windows I can't get to work.
What information would you need? Screen shots of what I have right now? NVIDIA settings? Display settings? Monitor brands?
Any help would be appreciated.
Are you using a separate video card? Or the one built into the motherboard? What model no's? Which video outputs are you using to plug in the monitors? When you plug in the second monitor does it say there's no signal on that monitor's display?
These are the generic instructions to get a second monitor to work on Win 11...
Thank you for replying!
The video card is a NVIDIA Quatro M2000. The cables are Port to DVI. If I right click on the right monitor and click on Display settings there is a 1 in a blue rectangle and a 2 in the gray one. If I click on Identify a 1 shows up on the right and a 2 shows up on the left. If I click on detect a message in red says Didn't detect another display. If I click on the NVIDIA control panel there are two boxes. The top one is select the displays you want to use. I and 2 are selected. On the second box there is a 1 and 2 with the 1 on the right has a * symbol
I'm not sure how I did it. But it works! I did use the Microsoft support link and then I used the Cakewalk program and just tried different combinations. I wish I could be more helpful with a response as to how I did it.
Thanks for the help!
