UPDATE:
I finally got the problem resolved. I had messed up with various changes in the Bios, that I lost track of what was what. So instead of trying to use a USB drive with Windows creation media, i used a portable DVD player & an old Windows 10 disk that I had got with a new PC years ago. Surprisingly, it installed without any problems, whatsoever. And it didn't even ask for the product key of the disk. And it's even activated. I went ahead & updated the Bios, so everything seems to working A-1.
