Fan Error
I just booted to a 'Fan Error - Press F1 t enter Setup.' I did that but didn't know what to do in setup so I rebooted and everything was fine. Both the CPU fan and the one at the back of the case are spinning normally.
is there some kind of utility I can get to monitor fan settings and temperature?
Thanks - rev

SpeedFan is one possibility.
Note that if you have chassis / case fans connected to the motherboard, and one of those had an issue (slow to spin up, etc.), that may have been the cause of the message from the BIOS. If you have a video card with one or more fans, that could also be the source.

Programmes that can show real-time data of fan speed, temperature, and other system metrics include HWMonitor, SpeedFan, and Open Hardware Monitor. These programmes can assist you in monitoring the hardware performance of your computer and spotting any faults before they worsen.
