    Mouse Cursor Keeps Disappearing

I have a brand new Dell Windows 10 Pro 64 bit computer. For some reason the mouse cursor keeps disappearing. The only way I can get it back is to plug another usb mouse into the front of the computer. Once I do that the mouse cursor comes back.

I have turned off all the usb power management. I have also gone into the mouse properties and unchecked the Hide Pointer While Typing option but the problem still occurs. I have tried several different mice including the one that came with the computer and the problem keeps happening.

Has anybody else encountered this issue?

I had actually tried all of those tips in those videos and the mouse would still randomly disappear. I did make a change to the registry and so far the mouse has not disappeared.

What I did was go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\EnableCursorSuppression=1 I changed the EnableCursorSuppression from 1 to 0 and so far so good. The mouse cursor has not gone missing for about 8 hours. I will keep you posted.

Well after a few days of testing my mouse still does occasionally go missing. It is not as frequent as it was before the registry change. It was doing it once an hour before the change and has only done it about 4 times in the last few days.

The only way to get the mouse to come back is to plug another usb mouse into the computer. Once that is detected the mouse cursor reappears and you can then remove the second mouse and go back to using the original one. See searching for a complete solution for this one.

Seems to be a pretty big problem in Windows 10 by the looks of some of the forums I have seen out there.

Have you tried getting the latest mouse drivers for Windows 10?

I have tried the new Dell mouse that came with the computer and I have tried different usb mice including Microsoft branded ones. They all do the same thing. Not seeing any type of driver updates and not seeing any conflicts in the device manager. The registry edit definitely helped. It has only gone missing once today. As soon as a second usb mouse is plugged in the cursor comes back and both mice work.

For grins - the next time it goes missing hit the Right Click button.

I just noticed I can make my mouse disappear by dragging it off the screen to the right or the bottom of the screen. The right click makes it come back.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Well that's strange. I changed the cursor suppression to 0 and it worked great for a few hours but now my cursor keeps disappearing again.

So far the only way I fan find to get it back is by restarting the pc.
