SatNav
What ho one and all,
Not sure if this is the correct section but there does not appear to be a relevant section.
I live in a private road with a small diameter roundabout at the end. We frequent have have very large delivery trucks come down the road and in attempting to turn, they either drive over someone's front verge, messing up the grass in the process, to cut the corner of the roundabout, again, messing up the grass which we, the residents, pay to have maintained.
Given that SatNav give information on one-way streets, and presumably, weight limits, width restrictions speed limits, etc (I assume they do as I do not have one) is it possible for me to provide information to whoever, so that big trucks will know they that there is restricted maneuvering space and will have to reverse out?
If so, whom do I 'apply' to?
Thanks
Rex
What if the Hokey Cokey IS what it's all about?

I have never seen restrictions on sat nav and on the west coast every year they have to rescue folks because the of the darn things.
Some die because they believe their sat nav systems.
Posting a large sign might help, but as most folks aim their vehicles instead of driving . . . you know the results.

I would think that a sign would be more effective as well. Also I'd assume that all or at least most of those trucks were there to deliver things that the residents on the street have ordered so perhaps a street/neighborhood initiative to always let retailers/delivery companies know about the road restrictions in advance would be helpful so, if possible, they don't send their largest vehicles.

Getting a sign posted is the way to go. A second idea would be to notify any delivery companies that frequent the area to only send smaller vehicles on this road. You can provide information to navigation electronics software vendors, but your odds of actually getting them to incorporate that data into their software is low. It could take years before they add the data, if they ever do.
