    anyone remember the modem string to allow...

    To allow the modem to only connect from 48000 to 52000bps. etc.
    Something about MS,,, ???
    Did a search but nothing came up related.
    Thanks very much as we are having probs with our ISP.

    It's going to depend on the modem - but the one you sound like you want is rockwell (conexant)
    and is

    +MS=V90,0,,,48000,52000

    The empty listings there leave the defaults for upload speeds. The 48 and 52 are download.

    jaak, most of us get our modem info from The Hawaii site. Its best you peruse from the Home Page....enjoy.

    That looks good on this Rockwell but I already have a string in the extra settings (S11=10[quick-dial]).
    If I add the new string how will I separate the two?

    Prophet, if you place any commands after the +MS= command, you must terminate the +MS portion with a semicolon i.e., +MS=V90,0,,,28800,45333;s10=7
