PCI Serial Controler Driver missing

I have replaced the HD in my daughters computer and reinstalling everything. ASUS PSA-B,K6/2 500mb, 128mb RAM, Diamond Stealth 3 S540 AGP video card, 17gb WD HD.Win98
In the Device Manager, Other Devices there is a !PCI Serial Controler, Driver not inatalled code 28.

Where do I find the driver I need?
The computer seems to be running fine.

Just wondering here if her machine has a PCI modem in it? If so, have a look at this note for something that may point you in the right direction.

Seems to be a modem kind of day

I know the modem is PCI and I have not install the software for it yet, I was saving it for last because I always have problems with modems and this one is a US Robotics 3CP5610 and goes on COM 5.

I couldn't get the 3com drivers to load, removed the modem, started the computer, shut down and reinstalled. Still would not load the driver. I had a winModem I had gotten free with rebates, so I installed it and it zipped right in and worked.
