[RESOLVED] Kingston SSD
I have tried at least 3 times to wipe the SSD so that I may start trying to reinstall Windows 7 on it. Each time I am met with the wording similar to " did not find newwork adapter". What may be going on? I can reinstall my hard drive in the laptop and booting up is as usual and without a problem. As usual, TIA.

How are you trying to wipe the drive? At what point and which program is telling you about the missing network adapter?
Normally all you'd need to do is connect the drive and run the install media and let it format the drive itself and install the OS.

Step by step with graphics so you can boot to the vdv and do a clean install.

Step 8 would be of intest to you.

I have decided to return the SSD as I think it is defected. Hope to get an RMA and if I get a replacement SSD, then I'll be happy. Thanks for your help. I suspect my trouble is with the drive's inability to recognize the network adapter and/or the driver. (the hdd that came with the computer has no such trouble--just slower than slow!!

Finally got the driver for the SSD and was then able to install it. Windows apparently didn't have the driver. Am happy now and thanks for your help.
