    Resolved [RESOLVED] Re:Internet explorer

    Hello all, have a problem with connection to pages within websites, some work, some don't.

    When i click on a link within a website, it saysiagnose Connection Problems.

    I have previously had no real problems doing this.

    www.tomtom.com my tomtom link does not connect me, and one or two others.

    Using Internet explorer 9. Windows Vista.

    Works ok in firefox

    Is IE the default browser? IE Tools|Internet Options|Programs tab.

    Hello Midknyte, Welshjim and all, tried microsoft reset did not work, and I.E. is my default browser. Will not open Facebook at all.
    Don't much like firefox etc.

    Did you scan your system for malware and viruses? If so, what apps did you use?

    Did you reset your cable/dsl modem and router? Reboot your system after that.

    I use norton 360, have spywareblaster, winpatrol, all upto date.

    How do I reset a Virgin Media netgear is it not preconfigued??

    I would add Malwarebytes also.

    Good luck with Virgin media.

    internet problem

    Hello Midknyte and all, solution found through virgin media tech guy, called 151.

    solution, after having talked to a Tech guy.

    Go to control panel, click Internet options, click Advanced Tab, click on Restore or Reset Advanced settings.
