Libre Office and Email Association
Have one p/c with Windows 8. Disgusting. Cannot send email when using Libre Office. Need to create an association with both so they can get along and play together. Nonsense. Do I need to run as administrator. Use Libre with Win 7 on other p/c no problem. Thanks

You need a local email app versus reading emails on line... How are you accessing emails now?
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

You'll have to install an app like Win Live Mail or Thunderbird.

Settings for Thunderbird and ATT Yahoo:

If it is working on one computer, you could check the settings on that one and make sure the other one has the same settings.

When you say ATT Yahoo - you're accessing the email via a Web Browser aren't you? If so, that's why you need an email application.

I did do the following with NO result. Choosing NEXT then Browse brings up nothing..... In Yahoo's Address Book, select "Import/Export" from the functions on the right hand side of the screen, just below the search box. Scroll down to the Export section and select the Netscape Address Book "Export Now" button. Save the "LDIF" file to your local drive. Now in Thunderbird, open the Address Book and use menu path Tools->Import and select "Address Books" then click on "Next". Select "Text file (LDIF, .tab, .csv, .txt)" and then click on "Next". Browse to and select the downloaded file "Yahoo_ab.ldif" and click on the "Open" button. Click on Finish and you will have a new Address Book in your list, Yahoo_ab.
To move the contact information from the import to your Personal Address Book, click on the name Yahoo_ab, then click on any name in the right hand list pane, press Ctrl-A (or menu path Edit->Select All) then drag and drop the names from Yahoo_ab to the Personal Address Book name. You can then delete Yahoo_ab is you wish.

So you successfully exported the address book, but Thunderbird can't find the file to import it? Thunderbird can import many different types of files. Try using a different format. Also, use Windows Explorer to verify that the file you exported to actually exists and is not smaller than a few bytes.
