outlook 2013 - messages disappearing from SENT folder
i've just installed office 2013 on a windows 7 machine.
what is happening is this:
i can create a new message. when i SEND, it is moved from the OUTPUT to the SENT folder. so far, so good. however, a few seconds later, the message disappears from the SENT folder and an additional DRAFT folder appears. but empty. have over 1/2 dozen DRAFT folders at the moment.
has anyone seen this? any solution?
if all else fails, i am not adverse to uninstalling and reinstalling OUTLOOK. except that there is no single OUTLOOK program in the PROGRAMS listing in the CONTROL PANEL.
thanks in advance
EDIT: is just occurred to me ... there is no SENT ITEMS folder at all. there is a SENT folder. i've also migrated folders to OUTLOOK from WINDOWS LIVE MAIL.

1) it's a POP account.
2) i've been searching google. i did find a way to supposedly FORCE the SENT ITEMS folder to show up (involves going into the ms exchange server mapi editor).
3) there is no auto archive enabled.
the person using this machine will be off friday. so i will try the mapi editor then. i'm stlll googling. just thought someone here might have seen this.
the multiple DRAFT folders seem weird too. the person using this says when she sends/receives, she gets a message that syncing has failed. all this to me all this sounds like a corrupted install or a problem caused when i tried to transfer folders from windows live mail.
i'm thinking of deleting the email account and starting from scratch or reinstalling outlook itself.
tho the question is ... just HOW do i uninstall only outlook from office. i did the software dl using a key i purchased. the only program in the program list is the complete office.
steve, since windows live mail is still on that pc and functioning correctly, we're going to continue to use it. on friday i will attempt to uninstall and re-install outlook 2013. and start from scratch.
there are no separate outlook/word/excel programs listed in programs and features. it only shows ms office and home 2013 as a single entry.
how do i go about uninstalling JUST outlook? or is that not possible?
To uninstall - you select the whole package - then you'll get an option to uninstall the individual pieces... At least that's the way it's been from way back to version 2010.
Reinstalling might be more of a burden if you didn't download an installation file.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.
re-installing just picked up the same settings. i finally played with deleting the data files thru outlook and finally managed to get a clean copy with NO accounts. downhill from there.
