Great news!!!
After posting last night, I hit F8 and choose, last known good configuration startup/boot. I got into windows. Lucky me.
Then
1) I went to HP and reinstalled the graphics adaptor/driver info.
2) I backed up every file which was important to me overnight
3) I went to device manager and I ENABLED the updated driver which I installed last night.
4) I just restarted in a "normal" windows procedure and I'm back up and running.
Yesterday afternoon, I switched to another video/graphics driver/setting for my video capture software to perform better. I guess AVG does not like the new video driver/setting.
Thanks for everyone's posts over the past few years. I really appreciate a site like this where people reach out and help one another.
Thanks DOC
