    AVG Search Tab with Chrome

    AVG search tab somehow took over Chrome and IE on my PC. I disabled it with IE but the instructions to disable the tab with Chrome don’t seem to work. I’ve gone into Chrome settings and Google is my default search engine. I also deleted the AVG toolbar in Control Panel.

    I sure I’m missing something. Is there a link with info on how to disable the AVG tab Chrome at start?

    Thanks, I've tried tried that and it didn't work. However today in Chrome settings, I changed the "at start" page settings and deleted AVG.

    Glad you found it.
    AVG does leave a lot of stuff behind when you uninstall it, so Just in case, remember they do have a removal tool.
