Resolved [RESOLVED] Looking to have one desktop view and read the disks on another.

I have two desktops, one with a few usb attached disks. Is there a way for the desktop without the disk to look at data on the external disks of the other desktop?

Newbie at this network stuff, but I do have a router which both desktops use for internet connection. It is a linksys e1000 router. The desktops are one Dell Optiplex running XP Sp3 the other running Windows 7 sp 1 home version.

    Thanks.

    This might help:

Make sure to set static drive letters for your external drives. You don't want them to change after you create the shares.

You can't use homegroups with XP.
