Question about tablets
The HP Slate is on sale and I want one. The only problem is that is doesn't have USB ports. It has micro USBs. I have a wireless USB stick device and every time I come across tablet/Nook type devices, they don't have a USB port.
Is there a device that converts the Micro usb into a regular usb? Will something like this work:

While I'm shopping, I notice that Lenovo has a table for $109 compared to HP Slate 169. Exc. for the memory (512 MB Ram for Lenovo) they both seem the same. Anybody have experience with the two?

Thanks
For my needs, it looks like the Lenovo is the better product....I want to use it for camera capability and for collecting credit card charges at flea markets. The payment systems require Androids to use.

You're welcome.
The Lenovo will be a bit slower but, it'll run longer.

I just called Paypal, who I have an account with. Their mobile payment system doesn't accept "Android" -- they're working on it....Wow! you would think Everybody would have an android compat. system by now.
Question -- with these tablets, can they be easily upgraded like desktops -- for example, ram?

SquareUp allows you to accept credit card payments anywhere with your iPhone, Android or iPad.

No, not at all. (It costs more to make stuff removable).

I was told I couldn't download into a Levono tablet any stand alone security products. I still don't know if that is true, but if you are using it for credit card info, I would find out first. I think they said it runs Windows RT so better check on that.

Since the Lenovo tablet above is running Android 4.0, you should be able to run on it.
