I am going to give up on this issue b/c it’s most likely a problem with YouTube.

1. Before I said I had no problem with FF, but actually I was wrong. It happens using FF also. So, it happens with all 3 browsers.
2. The same video may pause at one time of the day and not at another time of the day. It seems to happen more often at peak hours.
3. I have no problem with my internet connection. I have 50/25 FiOS and I can download and upload actual files at really high speed (not just speed test).
4. I have no problem streaming videos from other sites – HD video no less and multiple streams simultaneously at times.
5. I have tried clearing the browser caches and even the C: drive, but that doesn’t help.
6. I have tried to no avail many things found from Google searches of this problem.
7. My computer is working properly.
8. Virus and malware scans show that my computer is clean.

It seems to happen more often at peak hours.

Odds are You Tube has the same peak hour issue and can't deliver videos as well as all would like.

It appear more and more likely that it is YT that can't handle the traffic load during peak hrs. I watch a lot of video this afternoon 1 - 3 pm, and there was no problem. Tried again between 7 -10pm, problems - but again no problem w/ streaming on other sites. Now it is around 1 am in the morning, no stalling at all.
