    Couldn't open X for output!

Hello. I run a programming development enviroment on Windows XP home in a non-admin mode. I've run this setup like this for a few years now. It installs in a non-administrative folder. Which is in its own folder on the root directory of the HD.

    Code:
Microsoft (R) Program Maintenance Utility Version 1.50
Copyright (c) Microsoft Corp 1988-94. All rights reserved.

            vc -DJAGUAR -O2 -c -o jag.o jag.c
    Couldn't open <C:\DOCUME~1\CRUISI~1.asm> for output!
    vbcc -quiet "jag.c" -o= "C:\DOCUME~1\CRUISI~1.asm" -DJAGUAR -O=1023 -I/jaguar/i
    nclude failed
    NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe' : return code '0x1'
    Stop.

    C:\jaguar\hello>
I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the enviroment and rebooted several times to try and fix this. After a sorta recent fresh format C and reinstall of windows XP home it suddenly wants to not let me open these files in non-admin mode. The enviroment works great in the admin mode. No problems. But suddenly for reasons unbeknownst to me it won't allow access to it (as can be seen here) outside of an admin profile. Have never had this problem before with this setup on XP home.

I am stumped as to what to do. Tried everything I can think of. Tried Google etc.

This seems to be a XP problem rather than a Jaguar problem. I've just installed this on my main PC with XP home and it runs fine in a non-admin enviroment.

I have disabled some stuff on PC in the services.msg programs on both systems. I had some trouble with switching profiles when I disabled terminal services on this PC and turning it back on fixed hem. I'll look into it on the other PC.

Disabling service seems like a good idea, but in the long run, we normally end up causing ourselves all kinds of hair pulling.
    Learned the hard way myself.
