Any reasons to prefer Adobe Reader XI to Adobe Reader X?
I have Reader X (with latest update). Adobe never asks if I want XI.

I have Reader X (with latest update). Adobe never asks if I want XI.

On my machine Adobe Reader XI installs as a Windows 8 App rather than a program listed on the Start menu, however any documents opened display on the desktop.

Perhaps the auto update version for previous versions of Windows is not ready? As far a functionality goes, I notice no difference.
On my machine it did ask to update and did so after I gave permission.

There are currently security holes in both the X and XI versions of Adobe Reader and Acrobat. I don't know if Adobe has released patches for those most recent ones as yet. Verion 9 was actually the last good version. X and XI can cause your computer to experience periodic delays when using Windows Explorer or the File Open/Save dialog, regardless of whether Reader is actually running or not.
