    Corrupt master file table.

    What causes the following messages to appear?"
    What should be done after getting the check disk message?

    "Corrupt master file table. Windows will attempt to recover master file table from disk."

    "Windows cannot recover master file table. CHKDSK aborted."

    If the drive is bad, that could cause it. Run the manufacturer's diags first.
