    Microsoft security essentials

My virus protection is about to expire. I have been advised to switch to Microsoft Security Essentials.
I do not know whether to or not (I am currently using Trent which has been very good).
Does anyone have any adivce either good of bad about this product please.

Very good, and has security, Anti-Virus, Anti-spyware/malware and it's free. I've been using it for two years and it has never let anything on my computer. I'm not the only one here that uses it either.

Ditto. MSSE is an active antimalware program, which means it is quietly running in the background all the time. It also updates quietly and automatically.

Why would people think it wouldn't be good ? Microsoft is the inverter who created the Windows software people are using . Who better to have than them for a anti virus software for their Windows ? Yes it's good and FREE
