    Google Questions

    My home page is google.com
When I load it, the google screen appears with the search box...
Typing the first letter in the search box makes the search box jump to the top of the page..and the display looks different.
This is really annoying, does this happen on other computers also?
What's up with this? Can this be avoided? What's wrong with these web page designers? Are they all stupid?

I think you mean the Google Doodle gets minimized to the top left when you start typing in the search box? I know you can click on the Doodle and it will maximize, but I'm not sure there is a way to keep it maximized after you start typing.

Today's Halloween one is pretty cool. Click on the doors.

Well after 3 hours I found the solution.

First I enabled the google toolbar, not sure if I needed to.
Next, I Followed the instructions in brian roses's post:
    1. Perform a search with google. ( the button needed is only available on a search RESULTS page)
    2. Below all the toolbars is a button with a gear or cog icon on it.
    3. .......It looks similar to the IE gear button, but it is below the IE one...it's within the web page text.
    4. After Clicking this gear button, I selected Search Settings.
    5. I chose Never
    6. I closed the browser and reopened it and google was to my liking again without the annoyance.

Ah, so you just disabled Instant Search.

You don't need Google Toolbar. I was able to get to the Search settings in both IE and Firefox without it.
