Windows Update Questions
When I "View Update History" within the Windows Update screen, a listed update called Windows 7 Service Pak 1 has a status of "Canceled".
Also; When I "View Update History" within the Windows Update screen, a few of the listed updates have a status of "Failed".
How can I correct these listings?
When I first begin the Windows update Program a screen reports "No important updates available"
If I am up to date, I would like the list to reflect it.

In the History list, click the "Name" column header to sort the list by Name. Scroll down to one of the ones that says "Failed" in the "Status" column. Do you see the same name listed twice (or more times) in the "Name" column? If so, study the "Date" column. The update may have "Failed" one (or more times), but was actually "Successful" at a later date. Same with a "Canceled" "Status". The update may have been "Canceled" but was actually "Successful" at a later date.
In other words, this update history list is a complete list of everything that's happened, good or bad.

Thanks
Sorting the list helped.
There are a few that failed that were not successful at another time:
2699988 Failed
2598845 Failed
2632503 Failed
976932 Cancelled
I guess I should get these installed, right?

Robert M--The first three Updates apply to IE 8. Is that what you are running?
I tried Googling the Failed items.
KB2699988 is an outdated update.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2699988
KB2598845 looks desireable, but is over a year old
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2598845
KB2632503 deals with JScript. Does that apply to you?
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2632503
KB976932 is the Win7 SP1 update.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976932
A Cancelled Update usually means you interrupted the install. It seems you have installed this update.
Are you sure you have not installed the Failed Updates at some other date? Are they "Important" or "Recommended". If so, try installing 2632503 by itself. I suspect the others have been superceded by time.
