I tried to manually empty the Temp folder, but kept getting a message that a file could not be removed, because it was in use, or for some other reason.
Is it Temp or Temporary Internet Files? They are two separate things. You mentioned Temp earlier.

I have tried each of those on several occasions. The images are still there.
Does it make a difference that what I am trying to remove are images that have come to me as attachments in my email? I receive an attachment to email which I need to print. I right-click the attachment and then click on print, which opens the print wizard. Are these images considered Temporary Internet Files?

What e-mail client program are you using? If you are using a web browser to access your e-mail (please specify which one), then those images may be in your temporary internet files, and may be restored each time you access them, even if you are not printing them. If you have lots of attachments to print, there may be a more efficient way for you to print them. More info is needed on exactly what you are doing, and your specific issue with the unwanted files. Are they taking too long to for the print wizard to display your images, or just what is the real issue?
