Screen Viewing Sweet Spots 14" vs. 15.6"

I’m looking at 2 laptops that are basically the same except for screen size. The HP is 14” with 8GB RAM and the Lenovo is a 15.6” with 6GB RAM. Both have the 3rd generation i5 and Intel graphics 4000.

I do have a company ThinkPad that is 13.3”. It’s great for work use however I obviously can’t load my personal programs on it.

When I use this 13.3” on my lap I do notice I have to adjust the screen a lot to get a “sweeter” viewing spot.

I’d like to know if this sweet spot adjustment decreases with a larger laptop screen. If so, I’ll go for a 15.6” as I do work with PhotoShop. I do prefer the HP mouse pad with 2 tabs on the bottom. I was also thinking a smaller screen might be brighter and slightly sharper.

    Any input would be appreciated,
    Mike

I adjusted the brightness on my Toshiba [15.6"] and just tilt the screen where I can see it best.

Thanks for the info. I'm used to more monitor real estate...especially when you have 2 web sites open.

Then hook up a monitor to the laptop. A 23" works great for me.

for the most part I would just use downstairs watching TV. Most of PhotoShop would be done on this desktop which does have an i7 and 8GB RAM.

I "may" update this but I do want to try an iMac or nice 15.6" MacBook Pro as my next upgrade.

Much of the time I'll be using it on my lap while watching TV.

Currently, I'm watching football with a 13.3" ThinkPad on my lap. I can't load my own programs on this as it's company owned. With this one I do adjust the screen a lot.

The Lenovo isn't that heavy for a 15.6". I was also curious if laptops with nVidia vs. Intel have better image quality. They usually cost a little more.
