Everyone at Quinstreet Inc (the owners of VirtualDr and 24 other forums) are fully aware of the performance issues and the database errors… They send their apologies.
Besides upgrading vBulletin, the backend software (apache, mysql etc) is also getting upgraded. AND, as a site gets upgraded it’s getting moved from a datacenter on the East coast to a center on the West coast.
To add to the complications – the old datacenter is being shut down and time is quickly running out to move the remaining sites that haven’t been upgraded.
AND, the people that would normally work on the performance issues are the same people involved in the upgrade… It’s a catch 22.
I just noticed that I get sort of an opening page quite quickly when I try to enter VDr. It is getting all subsequent pages (including forum links) that still is painful.

There have been numerous times that a page would refuse to open at all. Sometimes the main page - discussion.virtualdr.com - is not accessible at all. Just FYI for your team.
Just saw something similar a couple of minutes ago. I had clicked "Preview Post" and after a l-o-n-g delay got some kind of "The Virtual Dr Forums-Computer Tech Support database has encountered a problem. ..." error.
Here's a pic:

Clicked the browser's back button, tried "Preview Post" again and it worked.
Appreciate the update. Any rough idea of the time involved for the new Server---a day or two? A week or two? A month or two?
