    Gaming Mouse Speed Question

I play COD MW 2 & 3 on my desktop most nights with a Logitech MK 700 combo not made for gaming. I have an Intel i7, GeForce GTX 550 Ti and 8GB RAM.

I was curious how much faster a wired optical gaming mouse like the G 400 is comapred to a basic wireless mouse? Also, when they say gaming is the mouse really a faster mouse or faster because it's wired?

The G 400 is only $35.00 and some are closer to $90.00.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Thanks for the link Doc! I ordred the Razer Deathadder Infrared Gaming Mouse (RZ01-00151400-R3) which is only $42.00 and I'm a casual gamer. It looks like many people like it. It has to work better the wireless Logitech M510 I have now for gaming.

I agree. Wireless usually introduces latency.

I'm a massive advocate of Razer mice right here, i've been through a fair few over the years, and more recently playing CODMW3, they take a hell of a beating and keep on bouncing back, $42 is a bargain, i paid £45 for my Diamondback, and still love it.

I bough the DeathAdder and actually like it better than my wireless M510 for normal use. The mouse wire is very thin and I don't notice it. I also picked up a Steelseries mouse pad. Now I'm looking at the Razer keyboards. I do like a tactile feel with a keyboard.

I'm also looking at a mid range laptop or the new iPad with bluetooth and cell. I'm leaning towards the iPad. My company laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad X1...excellent build but I can't load any personal programs on it and I don't blame them.
