c: too small, options?
so when i built this rig i thought a 38G SSD would be fine to house the windows and i would install my programs on either of the two platter drives that i have, apparently i was wrong.
i just ordered an 128G SSD and i was wondering if there was an easy way to copy the contents of my C:\ drive to the new drive and then just call it a day. is that a possibility or is there a procedure that might be similar to that but not as intensive as reinstalling the os and all of the programs that are currently installed on it.
thanks in advance,

Yes, you can clone the smaller drive to the larger on.
Check with hdds makers website and they should have a tool to do that.

I use a program called Easeus ToDo Backup which will allow you to take an image of your existing drive and transfer it to your new one. It allows for transferring your saved image to drives of different sizes.. Once you have transferred the image to your new drive you can go to My Computer/Disk Management and expand your partition/Volume to whatever size you require, up to the max capacity of the new drive.
This is a pay for program, but they do have a free version which I believe has the facilities to do what you want to do.
There are other similar programs available to do this, Acronis seems to be a popular one.
Hope this is of some help. I am sure others will come forward with different ways for you to do this....
