Something just doesn't seem right. First, I am not sure why I have problems using the adobe flash player 11. The issue I have is that when I talk to friends and family with their cam, the audio is very choppy like it skips and I can hardly hear what they are saying. That is the reason why I had to go back to using flash 10. I don't think I am alone in having this issue but I don't don't think it occurs with everyone using version 11. I am not sure why I have this issue.

Another issue is firefox doesn't seem the way it used to be. When I open firefox, I have tab windows saved that it will open certain websites every time I run firefox. It seems that when I click on a tab, the page window of the tab in blank for a few seconds until the website page completely opens. I never had this issue before. Every time I would click on a tab in the past, the webpage would be there to view immediately without waiting seconds for it to finish opening.

Also, when I mentioned about when I use this website (virtualdr), it seems like it takes a bit until the page is finished opening. I see the firefox icon at top spinning much longer than it used to until the page is completely opened.

I am not sure what is causing these issues that I haven't had before. I did a microsoft update a few weeks ago which might be the cause. When I cliced on my plugins and noticed that I had numerous plugins listed that I don't even know what they are is probably from the microsoft updates. I just did disable the ones that I wasn't sure what they were but the firefox issue that I mentioned above is still occurring. I am confused but this issue is annoying.

SpywareDr, I know it's not the speed of my internet. DL was 3.6 Mbps and UL was .96 Mbps.

SpywareDr, I ran both safe mode and safe mode with networking. I have numerous tab windows open when I open firefox. In safe mode, some of my tab windows did not open. It said server not found when I clicked on some of the tab windows when trying to open some websites but after I refreshed the page, it would open. I am not sure why that occurred. The virtualdr.com issue was the same with both that it takes a long time for the webpage in virtualdr.com to finish/complete opening the webpage.

I do see after rebooting back into windows in normal mode, after I click on each tab window, it finishes opening the webpage (only after I click on the tab for each webpage), and then, it seems that this issue doesn't happen anymore except the virtualdr.com issue where it takes a long time for the page to finish opening.

My computer is running 24/7 but I do reboot it every other day or so. I leave my firefox browser up with all my tab windows running on my computer even when I am not at the computer. Also, I just noticed that after I walked away from my computer for awhile and came back, I clicked on the tab windows on my firefox browser and it did the same thing as before. The page is blank for a few seconds and then it opens up the webpage of that tab. It is as if I refreshed the page even though I didn't. I wanted to update this info, as well.

Another thing I just noticed that I wanted to say is that when I said that when I come back to the computer and click on a tab window and the window is blank for a seconds and then the webpage opens up. I know I said it is as if the page is reloading. It isn't exactly the same as if the page is reloading because after a tab window opens up the page, I clicked the reload icon at top of browser to reload the page and it is not the same info on the webpage as before. So, it isn't exactly the same as if the page is reloading as I said as if the page was doing that. I just want to give as much info as I can which might help in fixing this issue. I hope this is easy to follow and you know what I am trying to say.

How many is numerous?

If it's say 10, divide your "3.6 Mbps download" speed by 10 an you get .36 Mbps download speed for each tab (page|window). If it's 20 tabs, it would be half of that at .18 Mbps per tab.

In order to fill 20 pages instantaneously, you're going to need a much bigger pipe than 3.6 Mbps. And even then, you're not going to be able to download them any faster than those 20 webservers can send you those 20 pages.

Why such a big difference in DL results?

I also, wanted to say that when I don't have a lag when I surf the web and click on websites and surf through pages of a website.

There are a multitude of possibilities. There may have been a problem with your equipment, your ISP's, any of the routers between your ISP and the speedtest server, or with the speedtest server itself.

Are you on DSL, Cable, or other?

Is your computer, the one you're having a problem with, connected to the internet via wire or wirelessly?

Are there any other devices using your internet account?

I have cable internet, it is connected as a wired setup, and this computer is the only device connected to my internet.

Cable modem service uses a shared cable line to provide service to an entire neighborhood. Essentially, all cable customers in the region belong to the same local area network (LAN).

Reach in back of it and unplug the power.
Wait 30 seconds.
Plug the power back in.

When it is back up. Do the speed test again.

Had to do that for a couple clients yesterday.
