Resolved [RESOLVED] Norton v6 for 3 PCs for $30

I have read over time that some of you would not allow Nortons on your machines. Several years ago I swore off Nortons but a couple of years later went back to Nortons Internet Service. That is what I have used for this past year and without any faults or problems. Now, Newegg is offering me a $60 discount on the Norton 360 Version 6 for 3 PCs. My net cost would be $30. I have never used "360" and so i ask if you have used it and if so, please post your feelings about it. As usual, TIA.

Norton 360 is Norton Internet Security plus the features as per this page..

Been using Norton since Vista, had MSE on this Windows 7 machine but swapped out for Norton again.

Thank you for your reply General Winters. I knew 360 and NIS intermingled but it was kind of you to include the link in your reply. I don't recall ever seeing an offer such as Newegg has for me. Because I ordered NIS 2011 last year from Newegg is why I have been extended this offer; one that I will be accepting. Feel sure there is a promotion going on with Symantic and Newegg.

Price of $30.00 for 3 PCs appears to be the typical sale price for a lot of antivirus suites.
    eSET, Kaspersky, McAfee...
    Cheers.

We have Norton 360 on 3 of our pc's, and ZA extreme security on 3 others. I like them both. Mind you the way we use pc's we pretty well never have any type of infection; but nice to have a bit of peace of mind for my family members.

Somehow I must have deleted the Newegg email to me(probably a mass mailing by Newegg) wherein the link to the $60 reduced price is now lost. BTW, I ran the Recuva software but the results are difficult for me to make any sense of the results. I use hotmail and does anyone know the path to the hotmail email account?
And yes, cdroman I have that same feeling of security with NIS.

Hotmail is web-based email. The 'path' is http://www.hotmail.com

Hey Doc, can you feel my anger at myself for losing such a deal!?!?! I knew hotmail is web mail and my question about this was a stupid one. Guess you can see my frustration. Thanks for your reply.

    Smile

A feature of Hotmail that I keep forgetting about--and an added reason why I use Hotmail:

    Restore deleted email messages

As soon as we detected that you might be hacked, we started saving your deleted messages in a safe place. In the left pane of your Hotmail window, click the Deleted folder, scroll to the bottom of the window, and then click recover deleted messages.

Hotmail will recover as many messages as possible and put them in your Deleted folder. If you don't see the deleted messages that you wanted, it means they're permanently lost.

    Note

This feature doesn’t work for children's accounts. This way, parents can be confident that when they delete messages from their children’s accounts, they stay deleted.

Using this method, I found my deleted Newegg email with the Promo for $60 and I have now entered my info to buy the Nortons 360 for a net $29.99 cost.
Just thought you might like to know of my success and thanks again for all who have tried to help.
BTW, I did have some issues with hacked email about this time and hopefully have now cured that problem.
