TP LINK Routers
Can someone comment on their experience with the quality of TP LINK wireless N routers
Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H AM3 motherboard
16 GIG Ram,
AMD FX 8350, 8 core
2 x 1gig sata 3 ,,
1 X 24" wide screen moniter ,
2 x 17' secondary moniters
1 x 21" secondary moniter
Corsair Power
Corsair Hydro cooler H 60
1 x blueray burners
Windows 8.1 x 64 Professional
Professional DOS dummy.

I had one and it stopped functioning properly after 6 months or so. I also have an 8 port gigabit switch from TP Link, and it still functions properly.

Budget oriented models.
Hit and miss.

I agree. I've had trouble with a few routers but have had the best success with Netgear and Linksys.

I agree too. It's worth spending a bit extra and getting a decent router. Netgear are far and away my favourite brand, especially the ProSafe range, but I also like Linksys too.

D-Link is another brand I would consider. I usually work with the mid to high range stuff, though. When working with budget routers, you get what you pay for.
