    Resolved [RESOLVED] eM250

eMachines notebook wont charge unless i position the wire in a set way,how can i tell if it's the charger cable that's faulty or is it the power conection on
the MOBO.Also the battery wont charge past 77%, and when i try to adjust the angle of the screen the desktop flashes with lines and goes blank. Are
these problem's linked or are they all seperate prob's.Can anyone advise me
    on this,Thank's

99% liklihood it is the charger sockect on the mainboard. As for the 77% charging issue, try calibrating the battery. Search here for "calibrate laptop battery". The screen issue is a separate one, probably the cable from the mainboard to screen.

Calibrated battery and its at 83% just now and still charging Opened it up and found it's the type that has the power socket wired to the mobo and it all look's and feel's tight so i think it could be the charger wire,as when i sit it
in a set way without touching the jack plug it charges.
I think i've solved the screen wire prob.seem's like it was positioned wrong and was snagging when you move screen angle.I repositioned it so it had more play when moving it back and forth,it seem's ok now so hoping there
are no break's in the cable from snagging,so far so good. thank's

Sounding better. Now when I calibrate, after the shutdown and I boot up, I check the power level remaining. 10% or less, I am good.

Full charge is up to 85% now,do i just keep repeating charge, discharge till i
    get it up to 100%.
Also i noticed there was a bit of a kink in the charger wire,so i cut through
the outer cable and found there was a break in both wires,so i soldered and
insulated them and hey presto, the charger is now working perfectly.
    Thank's all
