    crazy screen

    have a sone laptop little over year old and getting on screen lots of flashing in lower 50 per cent of screen,,lots of horisontal lines on screen

    You mean a Sony?

    Sounds like a bad LCD to me. If you are absolutely sure there is no warranty, you can try reseating the LCD cables.

    Does it do it all of the time or only when you're in one particular location?

    It wouldn't hurt to try updating the graphics driver, and see if that makes any difference.
