    HP Print Enhancer

It is a BHO (hpswp_printenhancer.dll) and part of SmartWeb Printing for HP printers. What does it do? Are there disadvantages to disabling it?

    Per HP's website
    Print what you see

HP Smart Web Printing ensures that you get usable web pages without cut-off edges. Get the print you expect with automatically adjusted web pages that fit the width of your paper.

    Get neater, more accurate prints

HP Smart Web Printing automatically scales web page output to fit the width of your paper. This helps ensure that your print copy contains all the information you see onscreen. Text and images will remain intact.

    Reduce paper waste

No more wasteful prints containing clipped pages or a few lines of useless text. Now you'll get an accurate print of the web page you see onscreen.
IMO, it's part of HP's software bloat. IE 8 and 9 do a reasonably good job of web printing (much better than 6, again IMO.) I'd uninstall it but that's just me!
